NOTES ARCHIVE
6.14.01
> Summer is here!
With that in mind, we happily announce TLSRP 2001 BBQ#1
on June 23rd. You're intvited -- well probably -- it still seems unlikely
that anybody is actually visiting the site outside of folks the we know--
ok come on over even if we don't know you. We'd be glad to meetcha I'm
sure.
Heavy has now put the Gorillaz album on their site. I love that site.
Again, thanks for all the submissions to the project of your original
content -- it is overwhelming right now, but we will get it up. We now
have streaming video on the site -- begin your wild goose chase to find
it ... now.
6.1.01 > DEMF Full Report >
DEMF Photos
Look to the right to see the aftermath. Sexy McNaughty Stein plays tonight
at Ireland's 32. The site of the week has to be Fark.
I'm busy so that's it for the update. Check out the DEMF stuff and the
SMS show.
5.21.01 > Still feeling the sweet sweet hurt
from a great weekend for all. Thanks to all who attended the SMS breakout
performance at Ireland's 32 and the DJ extravaganza in Berkley. Keep those
submissions coming. All your photography, short stories and articles are
welcome. We are working on a presentation and rollout strategy for everything.
I'm getting the feeling that not many folks are reading these updates
tho. As a result, I'm upping the ante. The first five folks who e-mail
me that they read this (that are not project members) will get a brand
new dollar bill. Yup. How's that for a marketing budget? 5 bux doesn't
seem bad to launch a national media scramble Willy Wonka style does it?
Today's biggest news is that Heavy is streaming
Radiohead's "Amnesiac" a full two weeks before it is due to
be released. I'm listening to it right now and getting really depressed.
Looks like another somber chart topper for the band.
5.16.01
> This weekend
is shaping up nicely for the project (see left). All 12 of you who actually
visit this page should stop by to both events. For a truly great event,
you should definitely join the project for the following weekend. Almost
half of the project will be attending the Detroit
Electronic Music Festival. We've got a suite or something so stop
by (again all 12 of you are welcome). In other news, I haven't cut my
hair for a long time and it is getting mighty shaggy. That's it for this
week. See y'all this weekend.
5.10.01 > Life marches on and so do we
Rumpshaker.net will be getting a new look very soon. In the meantime,
we are accepting submissions in the form of short stories, animations,
images etc. to be lauched with the new look Rumpshaker.
5.2.01 > OK, we've switched our web hosting
to a professional web serving company rather than the box in Steve's room.
Always on action is here. Apparently, this will not be accessable to the
world for 24-48 hours as the DNS servers realize the exciting new change.
Be on the lookout for bigger and better TLSRP events.
3.29.01 > Updates Are Back
The damn California blackouts stifle our efforts here. Due to a lack of
an independent power source, you should consider yourself lucky to be
seeing this right now. The layoff brings sad news. Hoof and Mouth disease
is crippling agriculture the world over. We here at the project are not
immune either. As a precautionary move, we have had to incinerate one
of our own. On March 27th, Trent Landon became the first project member
to fall prey to the deadly disease. Many asked why a disease that affects
cattle brought Trent's demise... he is from Texas and he was acting funny
so we just nuked him. Goodbye Trent.
3.29.01 > The Best Band in the World Marches On
Sexy McNaughty Stein will be playing a Spring show. Mark your calendars
now. It is rumored that this will be the last SF show for quite some time.
The band is currently planning to tour Asia this summer so be sure to
catch them the 18th.
1.17.01 > Stein's Birthday
If you are a Stein lover or even appreciator, come join us at Bliss (which
is on 24th between Noe and Castro) starting at 8PM. More updates to follow.
1.8.01 > Sexy McNaughty Stein is back
playing at Foley's again. They will be playing on 1-10 and 1-31. The crowds
keep on growing so show up early this time.
1.2.01-- Hurts so good don't it? The New Year's party is over. We're
in the process of sorting out the stories and getting film dveloped. We
will post images as soon as they are available and pass the network censors.
The party was a success beyond our wildest dreams. Sadly though, like
many of my dreams, I don't remember it that well.
12.16.00 > Sexy McNaughty Stein continues to rip
The best band ever had their best concert ever on Thursday. SMS starpower
was evident, among the celebrities in the crowd last week were Woody Harrelson,
Nick Nolte and Trent Landon. I'm out of town for this Monday's show, but
you should definitely check them out.
12.09.00 > I've gotten a couple emails from folks
asking if it was alright if they brought their friend or roommate
to the New Year's fiesta. I thought this went without saying, but ...
hell yes you can. The more the merrier.
12.05.00 -- These are crazy days at the Project
We just had the blimp party, but the preparations for new years are already
in the works. Click here to see the invitation (you'll need the Flash
Player from Macromedia). If that still doesn't work try the html version.
We always are hoping to expand our horizons so we're promising the New
Year's bash to be our best ever.
12.05.00 > Sexy McNaughty (TLSRP's house band)
kicked ass again at Foley's. Come check them out if you haven't yet. They
got bumped from the lousy Monday night show to the more prestigious Thursday
night show so check them out on the 14th (they're under the lad's name:
Eoin).
11.15.00 > New Year's is on at the Jamnasium
We've already had confirmations from around the country and the world
so be sure to get there early. We will be going until dawn with the recent
purchase of gas heaters for the outdoors.
